Another Fishing Trip

Brent and Ezra went on another fishing trip! They headed to Lake Mathis, AGAIN, on Thursday and came home late Friday. They had a great time and got a good amount of fish! Brent's brothers, Brian and Bradley with his two boys, Zachary and Caleb and their Uncle Johnny all headed to the lake too. I am just so thankful that Brent enjoys taking Ezra and that Ezra LOVES going. It is such a special thing they get to do together. So, because of that, I do not mind one bit that they go. Maybe one day the girls will go along too. I don't know though. Emersyn, Elynn and I had a great time here at home painting nails and watching Tinkerbell.

Elynn: 5 Months

Don't you just LOVE her rolls??

Oh, how this is going by WAY TO FAST! My sweet baby girl is 5 MONTHS OLD! She is the sweetest little thang. She is so smiley, loving, patient, calm, fun and full of JOY. She loves to be loved on and passes out smiles left and right. She loves telling you all about what is going on, but also loves to just watch her crazy brother and sister run around her. She has started to sit by herself, not for too long, but can do it. Every time she is somewhat inclined, she tries to pull herself up to a sitting position. She can roll over from back to tummy and tummy to back. She likes sleeping on her side and has recently started putting her left thumb in her mouth and sucking. It is not something she does too often, but sometimes in her crib, I will find her on her side with her thumb in her mouth. We shall see if she will be a finger sucker like her big sister.
This little girl started sleeping through the night around 3 1/2 months and let me just tell how much this has made me a more happy, joyful momma! If you would have asked me how it was going with three in the first 3 months of her life, my response was always, "good, but I am TIRED!!" and oh how I was! I was ever so thankful for her and loved having her here, but not sure how much I was "enjoying" it. It was hard! BUT, now, I can breath a sigh of relief and say I am a JOYFUL momma! I am loving every minute of it. It is definitely easier now that I can sleep through the night again and feel like I will make it through the day. She takes a short nap in the morning, a good 3 hour nap in the afternoon, a catnap in the evening and goes down around 7-7:30pm and wakes up between 630-730am to eat and go back to sleep! However, now that I just wrote that and am going to post it, this will all change! HA! I am just very thankful. She is such a trooper and goes everywhere with us without complaining and even takes naps in her seat. And boy do we go! I try to be good and be home by naps for her and Emersyn to have naps in their bed. She is just such a trooper. Best baby, hands down!

Very into her socks she had on

Sitting by herself

We have yet to start feeding her cereal. I need to figure out how to balance all of that out, and when to fed her and yada yada. Once I finally do it, I will probably realize that it is not going to be a big deal to balance it all and that she is going to love it. The doctor's office also said that since she is exclusively nursing, that it is good to wait to 6 months anyway. I may start this month sometime, but not in too big of a hurry to help her grow up any faster! I know that Ezra and Emersyn are going to love her eating and probably want to help me do it. This is where I will have to let my Type A personality calm down and let them help! Ha!

We just LOVE her and are so thankful for her.

Just another day in the world of Emersyn

How I LOVE LOVE LOVE this girl! She makes me smile from the inside out! She was completely in a GIRLY mood today and wanted it to show on the outside too. At 2, she is so girly and OBSESSED with princesses! She loves to wear her tutu as often as she can, accessorized with her wands and high heals. Oh, I love it!
My sweet Emersyn!

Just watching TV like everybody else, right?

Just another day at the pool!

Oh Brent

So, I am giving a little love to my sweet Brent. You are the best dad, husband and best friend a girl could ever dream to have! God hand picked you for me and I am truly blessed to have you in my life and be the father of our children! I love that you are the calm when I am the storm. I am blessed that you work so hard to provide for our family so that I can stay home and be with Ezra, Emersyn and Elynn as they grow. Thank you that you are the head of the household and fulfill the godly male leadership role for me and our children. I love that you love the Lord with all of your heart and that your light shines so bright in our home and to others. You are such an inspiration to me to be a better person! I love you so. Happy Late Father's Day Blog post!!

Horseshoe Bay Weekend

The weekend of the 11th, we were invited to spend the weekend in Horseshoe Bay with the Garrison's. We headed to the lake Friday afternoon/evening. By the time we got to the lakehouse, the kids were ready to do some fishing!

Eating Ice Cream on the boat

Last year she wasn't sure about the boat. This year, she loved it!

Saturday morning we got up, made breakfast tacos, got swimsuits on and headed out to the boat. First stop, the lake store for ICE CREAM! It was only 10:30 in the morning, but once we were all on the boat, every kid asked if we could go get ice cream and Mr. Garrison, driver of the boat and Grandpa, couldn't say no. So, we ate our ice cream while riding around on the boat. After we came back, Rob, Brent and the older kids went fishing off the dock. It was so nice to sit outside with the misters going and just enjoy the day. When Emersyn went down for her nap, I took the jetski out and did some riding. It was so fun being out on the cool lake by myself! At times, I was even laughing out loud. Ha! After nap, we loaded up in the boat again and decided to go to the sandbar and do some swimming. We also took the jetski with us so we could have some fun. It was a great afternoon! The evening consisted of movies and relaxing.

He was concentrating so hard on driving that boat.

Going for a ride on the Jetski

Sunday morning, we made pancakes and walked to the Marriott Resort to see the birds while the dads went fishing. It was such a restful Sunday as we took our time to pack up our stuff and head back out on the road. We love going to Horseshoe Bay with our friends and are so thankful that they love taking us! That's what they tell us, anyway.
Going to see the birds!

Thanks Garrison's!!

Elynn: 4 Months

My sweet baby girl is 4 months. I am telling you, this is going by WAY TO FAST for me. I am having the best time with her and just trying to soak up every minute.
At four months, she can roll over, grab things, smile, laugh, coo and she trys to pull herself up to sitting. She can sit unassisted for just a little bit before she topples forward, but she loves to try. She also really likes her exerciser thingy. She can reach the bottom with her feet and can kind of turn herself around to look at all the different things. Ezra and Emersyn think she is pretty fun. She loves to just sit and watch them. She will give them the biggest grin when they talk to her and will tell you what she thinks of everything, too. We are enjoying her so much.
I will post pictures of her soon!!
