EZRA IS 2!!
I cannot believe my little guy is 2! It seems just like yesterday when he was that little, then his first birthday came and he was barely walking and could really only say "ball", with the occasional "mama" and "dada"..
Now, he is all over the place!
Ezra at 2
Such a big boy!I just can't believe he is 2! In so many ways he is becoming a "big boy" with each new day. He still loves sports. He loves anything to do with balls. He can shoot hoops, kick the soccer ball, throw the ball, and he can even hit the ball with the baseball bat when you throw it to him! I know I am a biased party because I am his mother, however, he is really coordinated and talented with all of these things! His is all boy too. He loves to wrestle, jump, and climb.
It's so fun now too, that he is getting older. I am really enjoying learning more about things he likes and dislikes, along with seeing his true personality and such sweet spirit! He is so smart and is able to figure out how things work and go together. He very much enjoys coloring, doing puzzles, playing with trucks, chasing Jager and showing and talking about different things to his little sister.
Suprisingly enough, he has really embraced being a big brother. I thought we would have a difficult time, because even though he is getting older..he is still such a momma's boy. And I LOVE it! He is really protective over Emersyn when others hold her or when little kids look at her. He loves to tell her about all that he sees when we go on our walks, or show her the toy he is playing with. He even tries to play catch with her...he hasn't quite figured out why she doesn't like this game as much. Ha! But all in all, he is a great big brother~
Happy Birthday Ezra! We love you so very much. I am truly blessed to have you as my son. I thank God every day for you!

Pool TimeI can't believe July 4th already has come and gone! We had a great 4th. Some of our good friends came over and we made kabobs, had friut, homemade ice cream and a delicious strawberry short cake. The kids had a blast playing in the pool and sand box while we got to eat and talk! Afterwards, we drove to UTSA to watch the Fiesta Texas fireworks. It was a good Independence Day!!

Mountains on the drive upBrent's family goes to colorado every year the week of July 4th. This year, Brent braved it on his own with just him and Ezra. Emersyn and I stayed behind until next year when Emmy is a little older. Brent and Ezra drove up to Westcliffe, CO with his parents on Friday evening and arrived Saturday morning. They had a good time. It might have been a little better had brent not had strep throat. Luckily, no one else caught it. He had to go to the clinic in town and get on antibiotics. During their stay, they replaced the cabin floor, put up a railing along the porch (much needed things!) and went hiking and fishing. The scenery and weather at the cabin is worth every minute! They arrived safely home wednesday evening. Which, was another fun adventure for Brent. He flew home with ezra, got stuck on a plane delay due to bad weather, had to entertain ezra during the whole long flight and finally got a little break from it all the last 20 minutes when Ezra fell asleep.
It is so good to have them home!
Summer Time

Ezra and Harper at the movies
So, it's summer time! It is so HOT that the only place that is enjoyable enough to be outside is in the WATER! We have been going to Sea World as often as we can. Ezra LOVES it! He is such a little fish. He loves to jump off the ledge into the water and is able to go down the slide by himself. I can't wait until Emersyn is old enough to get in the water too.
We also have been going to the movies during the week. The movie theaters are showing kid movies for free! So, we pop our own popcorn, bring in our sippies cups and watch a fun movie on the big screen! Ezra likes it for the most part. He has to get in and out of his chair a couple times to see what is going on around him, but other than that, he pretty much sits through the whole movie. Emersyn, well, she sleeps through it! It has been a great summer so far.
