Fall Party/Halloween Weekend

Well, to start off, Brent left for New Mexico Thursday for his annual mule deer hunting trip! He went with two of his uncles. They are not coming back until TUESDAY NIGHT!! So, I am embracing the role of 'single mom' until then. So far, we have been good.
Friday, Ezra's school had their Fall parade and class party. It was so much fun. They got to wear their costumes and walk around the upstairs of the church, with their class, and trick or treat while the parents passed out candy. Later in the day, they had their class party. The parents take turns to plan the class parties. I was in charge of the Fall party this time. We brought lunch for the kids, decorated pumpkin cookies, carved a pumpkin and played a sensory/feel game. It was a hit! It was fun to experience Ezra in his class and with his friends. I LOVE his teacher, Ms. Nancy! She is the sweetest lady. Ezra loves her too!
Saturday morning, we went to our friends apartment complex to help them with the Halloween Brunch they threw for the residents. They are a part of the Cares Ministry through our church that serves the residents of an apartment complex. They throw brunches and gatherings and make themselves available to the residents. It is always a neat thing to experience the blessing they are to the residents they serve. They had about 80 or so people show up to this brunch so we were busy making pancakes and eggs! That afternoon, my grandma came to visit and have lunch. I got to show her our hopeful new house.
Sunday, Halloween, we went to church and had a relaxing day of playing outside. We had planned to go trick or treating and have a great night. However, things don't always turn out that way. Emersyn started getting fussy and pulling her right ear, AGAIN! She also had a slight fever. So, we headed to Sonic, got 50 cent corn dogs and came back home. I gave Emersyn tylenol and numbing drops for her ear and put her to bed. Ezra was playing outside and started laying down on the driveway saying, "I'm tired". So, I figured we could put on his Buzz Pj's and pass out candy. While we were waiting, he was very much ready to go to bed. So, by 7:15 both kids were in bed and asleep!! We didn't even make it till the trick or treaters came!! I felt bad for them, but then was thankful that we had Friday at Ezra's school. He at least got to wear his Knight costume twice. Emersyn, well, she didn't wear hers at all!! I tried to get her to wear it and she ran away saying, "NO, NO". Maybe next year! Probably the best for us anyway, with Brent gone and all.
Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

Updating

It has been a while since I have blogged. I am better about blogging when I have pictures to add to the blog. I probably have recent pictures but our life has been a little CRAZY recently.

1. We put our house on the market a little over a week ago. We had been talking about it off and on, but then finally decided to go for it. A week later, we had our house decluttered and depersonalized, pictures taken and for sale sign in the yard. Oh it was fast and crazy. Well, 8 days of being on the market, we have an offer! Very exciting, huge blessing, but so fast and crazy. We signed the contract today, have an inspection of our house tomorrow and go from there. It has mostly been a smooth process, with just a few "difficulties" here and there. We are just trusting God completely and trying to walk in HIS will with the whole process. On a fun note, we found a house we LOVE and want to put an offer on. If all goes well with our house, we will put in the offer next week and go from there. I will try and be good about updating.

2. My pregnancy is going GREAT! Sometimes I forget I am pregnant, then I bump my belly into something and it all comes back! Ha!! This little one is a shaker and a mover already. Should fit in great with Ezra and Emersyn and be a perfect 3rd child. We are very excited! It is even more fun not knowing if it is a little boy or girl Eilers growing in my belly, and even more fun to get everyone's opinion. I am looking forward to the day the Doctor says "it's a .....!". Ezra says we are having a boy (probably because he is a boy and his sister is good at throwing good fits for no reason) and Emersyn doesn't really care. Everyone is excited and Ezra keeps saying "I am going to be the best BIG BROTHER". I believe it!
So, I guess that really is about it. In my mind it just seems like so much more because I live it. We have been great and feel truly blessed.
