Pictures

Here are some cute pics I got of the kids yesterday after church.

Ezra: 4, Emersyn: 2 and Elynn: 7 months

Elynn: 7 months

My sweet little girl is getting so BIG. She is 7 months old. How we love her so. I love that she is getting so much bigger and aware of everything around her. She loves Ezra and Emersyn and still loves to sit and watch them. She does now, however, add her little sweet voice into the mix. Sometimes she can be really loud. Then she smiles so big. I love it. She also is laughing so much more. She thinks I am so funny, which I love. Something new that happened recently is she knows and CARES when someone else is holding her. For the most part, she doesn't mind someone else holding her. The other night we were at a work dinner with Brent's work and one of his co-workers was holding her. She started fussing (which really is unusual for her-she NEVER fusses) and so I walked over to them to see what was going on. She completely reached for me and started to give that fake cry. Once I had her she was completely fine. So, we had Brent's co-worker reach for her again and Elynn turned from them and grabbed onto me for dear life. She has done that a couple of other times since then. Even though it makes me smile that she loves me so, I hope this doesn't become a pattern.
She is not crawling yet, but she REALLY wants to get moving. I am thankful that she hasn't yet. Not sure I am ready for that next stage, but I guess I better start getting ready for it.
I finally started feeding her food. I try to be good about it. I give her a fruit in the morning and a veggie at night. This doesn't always happen, but I am trying.
Elynn is a great sleeper! She usually takes a short morning nap around 930. Her afternoon nap is somewhere between 1230 and 1, which works out great for me because Emersyn takes her nap at 1. So our house is usually quiet from 1-3. Then, she is ready for bed around 6-630, unless she takes a small evening nap. She sleeps through the night and gets up around 730. I definitely can't complain!
She is such a sweet heart and is happy all the time. She definitely makes you want to have another one! Love her.

Gillespie County Fair and Parade

Every year, Fredericksburg has a County Fair and Parade. We haven't been in years! This year, Brent took off and we headed to Fredericksburg Friday morning for the parade. We met up with a friend of ours from high school, Jamie, that had her car parked on Main street since MONDAY for the parade. It was a great spot. Shaded the whole time. The parade was fun, but LONG. I think they said there were 138 entries in the parade. Gosh! The kids enjoyed it though. (Michelle, Jamie's sister-in-law, took pictures, so I need to get them from her.)

After the parade, we headed to the Wildseed Farm to visit with my grandma and eat lunch. The kids LOVE grammie and the Wildseed Farm. It is always a treat to go out there.

Friday evening, Oma and Opa kept all three kids and Brent and I were able to go to the Fair by ourselves for the dance! It was great! It wasn't too crowded and we were able to dance and dance. It has been a while since we have been able to do something like that, so it was a real treat.

Saturday was a jam-packed day. We had friends from SA meet up with us in Fredericksburg to enjoy the races and carnival. We met up with them on Main Street for lunch, ice cream and "shopping".

After Main Streeting, we headed to the fair grounds for the horse races. The girls didn't last long at the races because we were hot and tired. So, we headed back to Oma and Opa's to rest and relax before the carnival. Brent, Ezra and Rob stayed at the races for a little bit. Ezra actually had Brent bet on a horse who won the race and profited 3.40! If Brent would have picked the horse to win instead of place, Ezra would have been rich!

After resting and relaxing at Oma and Opa's we headed to the carnival! It was so fun. Since we waited till evening to go to the fair, it was not bad outside. However, it was SO DUSTY! But, that did not stop us. We rode all the kid rides we could and got to see the stock show animals. I am pretty sure the kids had a blast. Emersyn was such a BIG GIRL. She kept up like she was 4. She would walk up to the ride, hand the guy her tickets and climb right in to her seat. No FEAR! I was a proud mama! It just made me a little sad to see how fast she really is growing up. She wants to be like Ezra and definitely tries to do EVERYTHING he does. I am pretty sure she thinks she if 4 too!

We ended our big night with Funnel Cakes! It was a great, fun, busy weekend!

The gang ready to go. Elynn was asleep in the stroller.

You can't really tell, but Emersyn had the biggest smile and was laughing so hard!

Birthday Weekend

The weekend after my birthday, my mom, grandma, sister and sister-in-law came down for a girls weekend! We went to Boerne for breakfast and shopping. We had a great day! It was so nice to not have any plans and anywhere to be. We went to any and all the shops in Boerne. We ate breakfast, had smoothies and iced coffees with dessert.
Ashley and Shelby spent the weekend with us in San Antonio. It was good to just relax and hang out with those girls. I don't get to see them often and when we do, we usually have the weekends packed with stuff. This time nothing was on the agenda. It was so nice and relaxing. I wished we all lived closer!

Thank you girls for the fun weekend!

Just Cause

I wanted to blog some things Ezra and Emersyn (maybe Elynn too) have been doing so I don't forget.

-Today I was explaining to Ezra how we have First, Middle and Last names. So, I went around the table and said all of our first, middle and last names. Ezra and Brent share middle names, Emersyn and I share middle names and Elynn has my grandma's name for her middle name. When I was done he said, "That is so amazing!"

-The other day a birthday balloon got loose and was stuck in our high ceiling in the living room. Emersyn said, "uh oh. I now who can get it. Mousekatoodle!" She goes and stands on the fireplace, puts her hand to her mouth and shouts, "Oh, Toodles!" Ha!

-Elynn is a week shy of 7 months and is such a happy girl. She NEVER complains and loves to sit and watch what is going on. She has been really into sitting up and trying to grab everything. When she see something that interests her, she will roll to it. She is not crawling, but wants to sit up and then loves when you help her stand up. She wants to be "on the move", so once she figures it out.. she is going to just GO!

-Ezra has really been into coloring lately. He colors in the lines and is pretty good at coloring. He also likes drawing pictures now. For the most part, I still have to ask him what the picture is, but, I love that he is really into it now. He can also write his first and last name. On his last name, I have to spell it for him and he is able to write it! No more copying! Pretty impressive!

-Emersyn can say her ABC's and count past 10. She know all her colors and some of her shapes. She even knows some of her letters.

-Both Ezra and Emersyn can say the whole "Lord's Prayer" and it is SO CUTE when they say it together! They are both master's on the IPad, which is impressive.

-Emersyn LOVES singing and takes it very seriously. She is into wearing only dresses and is obsessed with painting her nails and shoes.

-Ezra loves dancing to Rio. He wants to be a baseball player when he grows up and hit home runs. He can swim all by himself, dive, do cannon balls, and get dive sticks at the bottom of the pool. He can also swim a whole lap by himself with out stopping. He has been told by several swim instructors that he is a really good swimmer and he keep up swimming.

Very thankful for my little blessings and that I am able to be home with them!

I am 30

I turned the BIG 30 yesterday! It was such a great day. It started out with Brent and the kids bringing me a doughnut in bed, with candles, as they sang me "happy birthday". Brent completely surprised me with an IPad!! Was NOT expecting that. I think it will be a fun addition for everyone. During the day, I did NOTHING. It was so nice. Ezra had a playdate with a friend during the afternoon, so while the girls napped, it was actually quite throughout the whole house. Ezra isn't a big napper these days, so it was so peaceful. After I went to pick Ezra up from his playdate, Brent had plans for our evening. He told me that we were going to meet up with some friends of ours at BIGZ, which is a burger joint. I was so NOT on board. I was just thinking, "really!?! Bigz for my 30th!" Ha! I honestly was praying the whole day that I would be content in ANY situation that Brent had planned for my birthday, because, he planned it in the first place, and that is a HUGE thing for Brent. Anyway, he informed me that we were going to Bigz to eat and let the kids play, then Lisa and Rob (the friends we were going to meet) were going to take the kids for a while so we could go do somethings. After he said that, I was like, "okay, I can do that." Well, we show up at Bigz and ALL of our friends were waiting there with cake, balloons and presents! BRENT PLANNED A HUGE SURPRISE PARTY FOR ME!!! It was AWESOME. As we walked in, everyone started singing "Happy Birthday." I just stood there, shocked and crying! It was so sweet. I was overflowing with LOVE and JOY. As the night went on, I found out that Brent had been planning this for a MONTH! So NOT Brent Eilers style. I had the BEST NIGHT EVER! I am so blessed by Brent and all of my friends who took the time to come and celebrate with me. Oh, I still get teary over it! It definitely was so much more than I could have asked for.
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!

So, as I turn 30, I am not at all upset about it or feel "old". I am excited about my 30's. I had some great times and not so great times in my 20's where I grew from those not so great times and flourished from those great times!! Now, I am excited to take what God blessed me with in my 20's and grow them for HIS name and glory. I am way more confidant in Who I Am and Whose I Am now. I just want that to shine so bright, from the inside out! So, as I go into my 30's, I am hoping and praying that God will use me to move mountains!
That's what I am telling myself, anyway. Ha!

Elynn's 6 month pictures (finally!)

She loves to sit up and grab whatever she can!

So serious this day! Couldn't get a good one of her smiling.

I thought this one was sweet of Em and Elynn

Siesta Scripture Memory Team

I haven't posted about this, and now that I think about it, I am not sure why. Me and my best girlfriends are memorizing scripture together, along with Beth Moore. If you go to Beth Moore's website, http://blog.lproof.org/, you can get the full picture of what we are doing. We are committing to memorize TWO scriptures a month, starting a new scripture on the 1st and 15th. We are currently on verse 15 and will have 24 verses memorized by the end of the year! How powerful is that!?! Lining our thoughts with God's word and TRUTH is powerful and beautiful. It has been an exciting time. God has definitely used these verses encourage me through the day and even to encourage others. It is pretty crazy how powerful these verses become in my heart and mind.

Here is our verse 15:
"The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still"   Exodus 14:14

After I make lunch, I am going to challenge myself to write all 15 verses down, from memory, on a new post!

The Marshall's

Today, I watched one of my best friends 3 kids. Her husband broke his ankle last night riding scooters with their 6 year old. They had to take him to the ER last night and then had an appointment today with the doctor who will do the surgery, to repair his ankle, on Tuesday.
Back to the 6 kids: I am sure you are thinking, "wow, that makes SIX KIDS total!" Now, that is a lot of kids, but not with this group. My kids LOVE the Marshall's! They ALWAYS ask about them and want to talk to Ms. Ashleigh on the phone when I am talking to her! They are in LOVE. Ashleigh's kids: Cooper 8, Jackson 6 and Kate 4, are very well behaved and love my kids too. Ezra and Kate were in the same preschool class this past year and just became the best of friends. Kate and Emersyn are "best friends" too. At least, that is what Emersyn thinks. When they come to play, Emersyn and Kate will play together for hours. It is so fun to watch. Ezra thinks of the world of Cooper and Jackson. Both boys are good at baseball and love to set up baseball games to play in our backyard. Ezra is always talking and wanting to play baseball, so he is pumped to have these boys over to play. I seriously, MAYBE, said, "be nice", twice the whole time they were here. The rest of the time they entertained each other and played so well together. I sat and watched. It was great! We had a fun day with them.
Here are some pictures I snapped of them:
