Dach's Lakehouse

This past weekend, the whole Eilers family loaded up and headed to Trinity, TX. We were invited by the Dach's to come spend the weekend at thier lakehouse. Brent's sister Melanie is married to Kevin Dach and it is his parent's lakehouse.
We had so much fun with the whole Eilers family there. Oma, Opa, Uncle Bradley and Wife Susana, Aunt Michelle and Husband Daniel, Aunt Melanie and Husband Kevin, Uncle Fr. Brian, Mr. and Mrs. Dach, and all the kiddos (9 total). There were about 20 of us! It was great! Everyone got a long great!
We spent friday driving up to Trinity and then the boys headed out right away to go fishing. Saturday, we got up made some breakfast and the boys took all the kiddos (except the little ones) on the boat. The girls headed into town and went to a second blessings clothes store. We had so much fun trying on clothes. It was a whole HOUR of "here, this will look good on you", "hey, you need to try this on too!" When we got back to the house, after the boys called to see where we were, we ate some lunch. It was an afternoon of naps for some, while some headed to the Dach's property to go fishing at the stocked tank and ride 4-wheelers. That evening was celebrated with Mass by Fr. Brian and some family photos! Sunday was filled with more fishing and cleaning of the fish. The boys caught 40 lbs of fish! We had such a great weekend. with family.

Pictures of our growing Babies!!

At the Marriot Resort

Emersyn 4 1/2 months

Ezra 26 months

Love her big smiles!

Our handsome man!

Ezra and Emersyn are growing like weeds! Ezra is such a big boy now. He is talking so much and becoming more and more independent with activities and different things. He is so full of laughter and joy. He is such a boy! He loves to throw the ball, kick the ball, hit the ball, run, ride his bicycle (which he is starting to be able to pedal on his own!), blow bubbles, chase jager and do "work" around the yard with Brent. He is so much fun and developing his own little personality and quirks! He is sweet and so full of life. He has been such sweet sweet boy to his little sister. I can't wait until they are really able to interact with each other.

Oh my sweet sweet Emersyn!! She is now 4 1/2 months old. She is growing up so fast and doing new and different things everyday. She smiles, laughs, talks, rolls over and grabs everything to put in her mouth. We started eating rice cereal this month. She is not the biggeset fan of it, but we are trying some every day (well, when I remember :) ). She is holding her head up so well and almost sitting up on her own. She is my little/big girl. She weighed in at 13 lbs (under 50%) and was about 26 inches long (75%), so she is long and skinny. GO figure! She has such a sweet sweet spirit. She is so full of laughter, smiles, joy and LOVE. She is the calmest, sweetest, most laid back little girl who talks and talks and talks. She loves giving out smiles and kisses. She also LOVES her sleeping. She started sleeping through the night at 2 1/2 months and has been consistent with it ever since. Her bed time is about 7:30 or 8 and wakes up around 8 or later. Such a difference from Ezra who never wants to stop :)

We have been completely blessed with our little ones and look forward and cherish each and every day with them!

Catching Up

I haven't seemed to have a moment where I can just sit and blog lately so I am a little behind.
This is my attempt to try and catch up.

I feel like September has been so full of events throughout the week and the weekends.

On Labor Day, we loaded up the car and followed our good friends the Garrisons to their family lake house in Marble Falls off of Horseshoe Bay. We left friday afternoon and arrived in Marble Falls. We unloaded the car and went into town to get some pizza. That evening we planned for a pretty uneventful night with movie watching and heading to bed early. HOWEVER, the kids decided to have a "party" and stayed up to till midnight. They were having so much fun with each other. The Garrisons have two twin girls, Hailey and Sydney that will be 3 in december. They have so much fun together. Saturday morning we woke up, ate breakfast and took the kiddos for a walk around the Marriot resort, that is close to the lake house, while the boys fished. We had a relaxing day and went to bed a little earlier that night. Sunday I woke up and went for my 4 mile run (training for a 1/2 marathon), we got ready and loaded up the cars to head to the Exotic Zoo. We had so much fun there. They had everything from deer, to buffalo, to goats, to camels and zebras. The kids LOVED it! On the way home from the zoo, I started to not feel good. I got the STOMACH BUG! I was throwing up all afternoon and ended up in bed for the rest of the night. Emersyn got it a little bit too. I woke up Monday feeling better and went into the main house to learn that Lisa now how the Stomach Bug. She had been sick early Monday morning. On the way home from the lake, Ezra started throwing up! Then wednesday, Brent started throwing up! It was not a fun week!
The following weekend, Brent and Ezra went to the Farm to get the feeders ready for Hunting Season while Emersyn and I headed to Austin for my friends wedding!

That following Tuesday we got such sad news. We lost Grandma Eilers to the Lord. She lived such a great life and impacted all of our lives with her joy and love for the Lord. She would have turned 94 in October. She made it home just in time to celebrate Grandpa Eilers 100th birthday. He passed away 40 years earlier. On Thursday we celebrated her life with a Rosary and Mass conducted by Fr. Brian. Saturday we headed to Hallettesville for her funeral. It was such a nice funeral. That afternoon was so neat because we got to go to Grandma and Grandpa Eilers old hosue and dairy farm that Grandpa Eilers built and ran. It was a blessing for the siblings to be able to see the house they lived in and the old dairy. Grandma was smiling down on us! We will miss her but are so very thankful for God's promise that we will be together again one day! What a Glorious day that will be!!

Our final weekend in September we will head to Lake Livingston to the Dach's lakehouse (brent's sisters in-laws) for a weekend with the Eilers. We are looking forward to all being together. Such a blessing that family is to us!
More pictures to come.
