Mother's Day

I had such a great Mother's Day weekend! It started off with a good ol' baseball game for Ezra, where his team presented the mom's with white carnation flowers. It was sooo cute!

We were originally going to go to Fredericksburg, to hang out with my mom and grandma, but they ended up coming to San Antonio. That was such a treat. We just hung out at the house and enjoyed each other's company. Brent's parents ended up stopping by our house on their 'way home' from Austin, so we got to see them as well.
That evening we went to our favorite spot to eat with the kids, Bigz Burger Joint. It was a great, relaxing evening. My grandma headed home after that, but my Mom spent the night with us.

Brent really spoiled my mom and I! He made us a full breakfast in BED! And, he surprised me with a new IPad Mini! After breakfast and showers, we headed to Church. The speaker at church was awesome.
After church, we enjoyed a nice lunch outside at Willies, then headed home. My mom headed back to Houston after that.
We loaded up the car and headed to Sea World. It was such a nice day! We hadn't been in a while and the kids had been asking to go. We had a great day!!

So Thankful for the 3, soon to be 4, babies God has chosen ME to raise in His image and Likeness!!

Emersyn is FIVE!!

I cannot believe Emersyn is 5!! Time has got to slow down!!

Oh, how we LOVE this girl! She is so smart, has a huge heart, is loving, is independent, is challenging but GROWS me sooo sooo much! She is a great big sister and her and Elynn are best of friends! She learned to swim all by herself and is on the swim team this year! She can read some sight words, knows all her letters/sounds and numbers. She LOVES to read and engage in imaginary play. She is so close to riding her bike without training wheels. She is such a girly girl, but loves bugs and animals.

For her birthday, she wanted her ears pierced and to get a 'real' necklace. So, we did BOTH of those things. She didn't flinch ONE bit when they pierced her ears. She was so excited. It didn't even hurt afterward! She is probably the most courageous of the three..she needs to know what's going on, but is so brave when facing it!

Here is her birthday interview:

1. What is your fave color? Pink and Blue
2. What is your fave toy? My puppy and my Aristocat
3. What is your fave thing to eat for lunch? Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

15. What is your fave holiday? Christmas
16. What is your fave thing to do outside? Play with Jager (our dog)
17. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? Sophie (her stuffed puppy)
18. What is your fave thing to eat for breakfast? Yogurt and cheerios
19. What is your fave desert? Brownies

Here are her stats from her Well Visit:
Height: 44 3/4 inches (she was taller than Ezra when he was five!) (75-90%)
Weight: 38 1/2 lbs (25-50%)

She can hold all her fingers up now!!

She wanted to go to dinner at Chuck-E-Cheese, so our friends the Garrisons met us there!

Such a great birthday DAY!

April 2014

So, YES..it is MAY and I am just now posting about April! I decided I am just going to do what I can when I can, and I will have to be okay with that. So here is April, in a nutshell..

I got to go on Ezra's 1st Kinder Field trip to the Children's Museum, Downtown SA! It was so nice to get to spend time with my sweet BOY! I love him and love every minute we get together. It was such a fun day. We got to explore the whole museum on our own, with two other of his classmates. He had a blast!

it lasted for a couple minutes on his hand

Elynn, my mom and I got to spend the day together and we all got pedicures. It was her 1st one! She LOVED every minute of it!!

The 1st weekend of April, our church holds a Women's Ministry leader Retreat in RoundTop, TX. I have gone a couple years, but most of the time, I go by myself..knowing friends when I get there, but never going with a friend. This year, I was so excited to go with one of my really close girl friends, Jamie! We had a blast talking and taking our time on our way up to RoundTop. We even stopped for a selfie in the bluebonnets. We had a great weekend relaxing, eating, shopping RoundTop, but most importantly, being in God's presence, soaking up HIS WORD and SPIRIT, among many amazing Godly Women.

My sweet Ezra started baseball again. This year, we are in the 'big leagues'. We have graduated from Tball to Coaches Pitch. It has been such a fun season! I am that mom that yells and is loud with every play! I am praying God will help me to control my tongue, in all the excitement, and be a light even when I want to yell and talk some 'talk', if you know what I mean! It makes me laugh every time..i'm pretty competitive! Especially for my guy!

Sweet Em girl! She loves her bugs and insects, but is such a girly-girl all the same! Her class had an Easter Party that was hosted at one of her classmates house. It was a GREAT party! They had a fun easter egg hunt, did a craft, played tug a war and even had a sack race. It was finished off with lunch and cake!

Hunting for eggs..

With their treasure!

My girls!

It has been a couple years since we have dyed eggs as a family! To be honest, it is just not so fun with young kids who think the first 2 eggs are fun, but then are done after that! Not to mention the mess it makes! So, I just haven't done it. This year, different story! The kids are at such a great, fun age/stage and are so EASY! So, we attempted the dying. It was so much fun! They loved it and wanted MORE eggs to color! I can't wait to do it again next year!

Elynn did ALL PINK eggs and thought it was AWESOME!

Our master piece!

We had a couple Easter egg hunts..1) Emersyn's class party 2) our neighborhood Easter egg hunt and party 3) Easter morning hunt with just us and then 4) Easter Egg hunt with Brent's family at our house....needless to say, they got PLENTY of hunting and candy in this year!

Neighborhood hunt.

Waiting to go...

and they are off...

Cheese!

One of our FAVORITE things to do at home, run through the water hose when dad is watering. They could do this for HOURS!

Brent's WHOLE family came to our house to celebrate Easter this year. It was supposed to be at his brother's, Bradley, house. They were in the midst of a bathroom remodel that was supposed to be done, but wasn't, so, the party was moved to our house! I was glad because we didn't have to travel. I LOVE Brent's family. When we are all together, and there are a lot of us, it just doesn't feel like craziness! All the cousins get a long and play so well together. All the adults are hands on and active. They are laid back and full of great conversation. Everyone pitches in to help bring food and are right there to help organize/clean/assist, whatever needs to be done! I LOVE them! God blessed me with a beautiful, Godly, BIG family through Brent. So, in all, there were 15 adults and 15 kids!

ready and waiting for the egg hunt

littles first

and go..

I wonder what my neighbors were thinking at the sight of all of us!

SO, switching gears. In SA, we celebrate Easter in April, but MOST San Antonions celebrate FIESTA ALL APRIL LONG! There are events/celebrations/parades/runs/city wide school closings..IT IS CRAZY, but so fun. Emersyn's school had Fiesta Day! You start the day off with a shoebox float parade and then the rest of the day consists of pinatas, cascarones eggs, making tortillas, egg walks, face painting, etc.. it is such a FUN day!! Her shoebox float was a castle for Elsa and Ana!

She helped me with the whole float

Ready for the parade

Elynn has to be in on everything

Walking in the parade.. can you see emersyn's teacher carrying Elynn!?

Ended the day with a goo baff!

Random pics..but this first one is of Elynn's new summer do. She found some siccors and decided she wanted to cut her hair! 1st of the 3 to try and do this!! Does it happen to everyone?? Well, her hair is CRAZY to begin with..and she got some good chunks that I couldn't cover up, so for a wedge we went. I am so FEARFUL of short hair because of a bowl cut my mother gave my sister and I in middle school..SCARRED FOR LIFE! What was she thinking!? But, this turned out to be the PERFECT haircut on Elynn..maybe she knew it. Her hair is no longer out of control, it lays so nicely, looks full and thick instead of stringy and is super easy to fix! I LOVE IT!! It is going to be great for summer!

This is a picture of Ezra and his 1st place Bike Rodeo Trophy. He WON bike rodeo (a city wide event at all the schools) for his kinder class! Because he got 1st place, we will be going to CITY WIDE Bike Rodeo at the end of MAY! He was pumped!

I love her big, fun, super crazy personality!

Our, almost daily, walk/bike ride to the pool! what we will be doing all summer, I am sure

We LOVE rainbow looming and just learned how to do the fishtail on our fingers!
