We have been busy! But we had such a good christmas holiday being able to share it with both Brent and I's families! We started out christmas eve going church at 5, then headed over to my dad's house in Boerne for dinner with him and his wife, Joann. It was a nice, good time. Then christmas morning, we were able to spend christmas with just US! It was so nice to wake up and have all the presents from santa under the tree and seeing ezra's face light up. He didn't fully grasp what was going on but sure was happy about all of his new things under the tree. He even wanted to help little Emersyn open all of her gifts. He really took to the roll of handing out the presents, that at times, we had to remind him to stop and open his.

Then he just did it for her :)
1st christmas!
After we were done with our family christmas, we packed up the car and headed to Fredericksburg. We arrived to a house full of Eilers! It was so fun to be with the whole family. That afternoon we walked over to the Cabin and had a dinner with the extended Eilers family. The food was Delicious! Then we walked back over to brent's parents and celebrated christmas with them. It was such a special time. The kids got all dressed up to celebrate the Nativity (for about 5 minutes, then they were finished). The kids exchanged gifts from cousins (pj's and books) and we sang christmas carols, laughed and talked. The next morning, everyone got up, we celebrated Mass with Fr. Brian, even though he just had surgery on his ankle.
Ezra was joseph and Emersyn was baby Jesus

Then everybody headed seperate directions. We packed up, got in the car again and headed to Dallas to spend christmas with my family. This is one of the first years that everyone was together, My mom, her husband (for the first time), Malachi/Shelby, Ashley/Hunter, Brent and I and my grandmother. For a few hours, my grandmother's brother and his family came to spend some time with us. It was a great time. Lots of laughs and good memories. Ezra had his fun playing in the left over snow that Dallas got on christmas day. He loved making snowballs and throwing them at everyone.
We finally headed home monday and got home just in time to watch the Aggie bowl game. We had a relaxing week and celebrated Brent and I's 4th anniversary and brought in the New Year with some of our closest friends. God has truly blessed us this year. We look forward to the things to come in this New Year of 2010, and pray that God is at the center of all we do!
