March

Lately, I am becoming a "monthly" blog updater. Not what I would WANT to be doing, but what my life allows right now. So, I am still going to be Thankful for these fast and furious posts.

Here are some pictures from March and what our life looked like.

Malachi ran for Rail Road Commissioner in March, 2014. He had such a great Year of campaigning and did a AWESOME job! Unfortunately, this time, He didn't win the race. He worked SO HARD and did a great job of meeting new people and getting his new name out in the BIG state of Texas! We are soo proud of him! I can't wait to see what BIG things are next for him!

I enrolled Ezra and Emersyn in their 1st cooking class! They LOVE to help me in the kitchen and beg to make plan and prepare dinner. So, I got a Groupon for Little Chef's Academy and it was AWESOME! Ezra and his class prepared: Quiche, Smoothies and Pancakes. After they were done, they got to eat everything they made. He like EVERYTHING! Emersyn and her class prepared 2 different types of Rice. One was a sweet rice and one was a savory rice. She loved the sweet rice. They loved it so much that, I signed them up for a couple more classes. Next time, Elynn will be able to go!

It's baseball season again. This year, Ezra is in the 'big' leagues. Ha! We have graduated form T-Ball to Coach Pitch. It is such a different game. They are really learning the fundamentals of the game! I am loving it. Hitting is so much different, but he has gotten a hit in each game so far! We are on the same team as last year, with 2 new players. It's a great team!

Sometimes, when I don't make it to the gym, I do Yoga at home. This is what it looks like most of the time.

I had a sweet day with just this girl! I love when I get time individual time with each one.

For spring break, we just had a great week of hanging out. We didn't go on a big trip, just stayed around the house. We headed to Fredericksburg on Thursday and stayed until Saturday evening. My sister and her family were in town, so we got to spend some great time with them. We met my grandma for dinner Thursday night at Mr. Gattis (hadn't been there in YEARS). It was a blast for the kids!! Uncle Hunter is the best!! We did the whole 'tourist' thing and went Main streeting on Friday. We started off with Breakfast at the German Bakery and then walked Main for a couple hours. It was a fun day.

Saturday afternoon, we went to Brent's Uncle farm. It is the kids FAVORITE thing to do. He ended up having a baby that was needing to be bottle fed for a couple weeks, so we took him HOME! His name is Turbo. He has been a lot of fun and really sweet. He is more like a dog. He sits in your lap and lets you carry him. He is getting so big now, and is SUPER loud when we aren't outside, so it's time for him to go back to the farm. The kids are sad, but we will still be able to visit him.

The girls have been sharing a room for a little while now, but I hadn't done anything to decorate it yet. I wanted to make it more of a 'big' girl room and do something so that they felt like it was BOTH of their rooms and not just Emersyn's old room. I had a shutter in my garage, waiting to make it into a shelf, but never had a great place to put it. I was so excited when we finally had a spot for it in the girls room. I love how it turned out.

Elynn is DYING to go to school. She will start at OakHills Preschool next September. We are BOTH so excited. In the meantime, I have been taking her to this super fun outside exploration class at our local park. It is FREE and they do a different theme every month. We go with Elynn's best friend, Seyla. It is a blast! This month was about ANTS!

Ezra had Bike Rodeo at his school. It was a rainy morning but they still did it. He did a great job. I don't know what place he came in yet, but he really enjoyed it.

Elynn with her best friend, Seyla!

One day at Emersyn's school, they had a day where they were able to 'go' on a trip. Their teacher, Ms. Woodard, set up a check in station, where she asked their destination. They had to bring a bag that they checked in and then paid her for the plane ticket. Inside, she had a cardboard airplane set up with seats. It was such a FUN day for Emersyn. I LOVE her ladybug class!!

Elynn was so sad she wasn't able to 'go on a trip' like Emersyn, so I took her to Sea World for the morning. We had a great time!

We have been wanting to go on a family camping trip, but it hasn't worked out just yet. One weekend we set up the tent in the backyard and camped out for the night. It was SO FUN and the kids were in HEAVEN! They made it through the night in the tent. Brent stayed in the tent with them. I started out there and then headed inside. I mean, someone needed to be inside just in case someone didn't make it the whole night. So, I took one for the team. Ha!

That same weekend, we had a birthday party to go to for one of our closest family friends. Ella turned 4 and had her party at the Kiddie Park. We love it there. It was a lot of fun and the weather was Perfect!

So, as most of you know, we are PREGNANT with #4. We found out in March that we are having another baby GIRL Eilers. We are excited. I think it's going to be crazy with 3 GIRLS, but I am pretty sure just having 4 is going to be pretty CRAZY! It's a GOOD crazy though!!

This was a family bike ride one evening. I really need to get a bike so I can join them!

Great Wolf Lodge

So, remember in December when we were supposed to go on this great family ski trip and someone (ME!) ruined it for the whole family by getting sick!? Well, we came across a great deal to Great Wolf Lodge and jumped on the chance to go. We have heard such great things about this resort, and have really been wanting to check it out. Our kids are water rats. They LOVE the water, so we knew it would be a great place for our family. Our really good family friends, the Garrison's, joined us on this venture.

We headed up to Grapevine last Thursday and arrived at the resort 30 minutes before story time was about to begin. We headed upstairs to our room, unloaded our stuff, changed into our pj's and made it back down in time for story time. After story time, we walked around the resort, checking it out before heading to bed.

Friday, we started out nice and early with a yummy breakfast and headed straight to the water. There were slides, wave pools, a lazy river, pools with logs to jump across, pools with basketball hoops, hot tubs, more slides, and fun rides for 1, 2 or 5 people! We had a BLAST. I wasn't sure how Ezra was going to do because he is our more 'cautious' guy and he needs a lot of encouragement to just walk up the stairs on tall rides like that. BUT, once Brent was able to get him to go down one, he was going down them ALL. Emersyn even did all the rides/slides that she was tall enough for. It just was so much fun. We probably stayed in the water from 9-1, took a lunch/rest break, then headed back down till dinner. For dinner, we ordered a pizza and walked around the resort, looking at games, meeting different resort characters, and looking into the magic quest they had all around the resort.

Crazy side story: The resort has this magic quest adventure that is hidden all around the resort. You have to buy a wand, and a quest and then you are off finding clues to figure out the different levels to eventually beat this dragon. So MANY kids were doing it. EVERYONE walking around had this dang wand. Ezra wanted to do it sooo badly. After we looked into it, and seeing it was  like 30$+ just for the wand, we said 'NO' and told him we could play games in the arcade and get ice cream instead. Well, he was upset about this and started crying a little bit. Not the whole throw a fit whine/cry but he was upset. This guy walks up to me and asks, "does your son want a wand?" I said, 'yes, but we aren't going to do it this time.' He continues to tell me that he wants to buy Ezra a wand. I declined him, politely, several times, but he was still persistent. Well, then we get Brent involved and Brent said "NO" several times to this man. He was STILL persistent. Well, after a while, the man buys Ezra a wand. It took forever for the ordeal to go down. Something about wanting to pay with cash, but he wasn't able to so he had to return and rebuy...CRAZY LONG TIME. Anyway, 54 DOLLARS later!!!! Ezra has a magic quest wand. So, part of our time was questing.. ahh. The girls and I got ice cream and went to story time with the Garrison girls while Brent and Ezra quested.

Saturday, we had a lazy morning and ate breakfast in the room. We packed up our stuff and loaded the car with the stuff we weren't going to need. We checked our shower bags in at the bell hop and headed back to the water. We spent the whole day at the water. The fun part this day was my brother and his family met us at the park and played with us the whole day. When it was time for dinner, we showered and headed out to Grapevine to meet my sister and her family for dinner. We celebrated Townes birthday with Mexican food and ice cream! We spent the night at my sisters and headed back home on Sunday.

It was a great weekend!
