Emersyn is 3!

This sweet girl is 3 today!!

Emersyn, today you turn 3. I fell like you have been three for a while now, so I am glad you can offically say you are 3! I am so excited about this new year for you, for us! You are such a mature girl, very independent but still so little! You are SUPER SMART, very FUNNY, so KIND, THOUGHTFUL, INDEPENDENT, SWEET, a tad STRONG WILLED, a great big sister, and a great little sister. You are such a BIG BLESSING to this family. You make me laugh so hard. You have the best facial expressions that make your face light up!
You know all your colors, you know all your shapes, some of you letters and numbers, you can sing your ABC's, you can sing the months of the year, you are potty trained (and have been since right when you turned 2), you can buckle yourself in your seat by yourself, and you can get dressed all by yourself. You used to suck both of your middle fingers, but at 2 1/2, you stopped on your own! You LOVE playing with princesses, playing with Ezra, playing puppies, swinging, swimming, dancing, kitty's, and all BUGS. You are the Girly-est Girl!
I am going to be honest here. Your two-year old year, was SO HARD but such a growing year for you and ME! You have such a strong personality and are so independent and smart, that you wanted to do everything by yourself when you weren't able to quite yet. We went round and round with hair, brushing teeth, clothes, shoes, anything and everything. You have made me such a better mom, friend and woman! I have been on my knees in prayer for wisdom, patience, kindness, love, gentleness, peace, faithfulness, self-control, joy and goodness. You have helped me to learn more about all of these. Walking through the fire has refined my walk with God and it wouldn't have happened quite the same without you. I can't THANK YOU enough! I love you baby girl! (i am crying as i write this..how i love you so)

Museum Day

Ezra's school had their annual Museum Day. It's a day where an artwork from each student in the preschool is picked, matted and put on display. The kids get to walk through the art museum and see everyone's art. It is such a fun day for them, but us also. The parents get to walk through the museum and see the artwork also. It was so fun to find Ezra's artwork. It makes me sad that this is his last year at OHC Preschool, but I am excited about our next step with him. I am also glad we aren't done with OHC preschool. I am excited for Emersyn and her experience with OHC!

The picture is of Ezra with a band-aid on his neck, jager chasing a squirrel. The title of the picture is "boo boo"
The description of the picture that ezra gave his teacher reads:
My dog was chasing a squirrel and I was trying to get him and I tripped on a rock and fell on another and hurt my neck. (that's why their was band-aid on his neck!)
Love it! Very much Ezra!

Surprise!

No, I am NOT pregnant! HA!
But, I got a text from Brent on Friday saying, "you will never guess what I found in our back yard." I mean, we have already found a snake or two in the back, so surely it's not ANOTHER snake..and then I get this picture.
Do you know what it is!?  TWO BABY POSSUMS!!

Brent was outside in the yard (imagine that!) while I went to go pick up Ezra and his friend Kate from school. Jager was going crazy and barking at this bucket that we have. The kids usually play with it and we use it for different things. It had just been sitting in the back yard with some water in it from the sprinklers. Apparently, these possums (with their mom) were in our yard thursday night, probably eating our Japanese plums on a tree we have in our yard, and needed a drink. They probably hopped in the bucket with their mom and then weren't able to get out on their own. When Brent found them, they didn't even really move. Just stuck by each other. They were little! Probably still needing their mom. Brent, Ezra, Kate, and Emersyn walked them down to the creek by our house in the bucket on a wagon. They let them go by a tree. Right when they were dumped out of the bucket, they climbed right up the tree.
Hopefully their mom gets out of our yard and goes to look for her babies!

Mulching it up!

On Wednesday, Brent had a last call day so he was home for the day and wanted to do YARD WORK! It was a fun family day. After Brent picked Ezra up from school, they went and picked up a yard and a half of Mulch! We put the mulch in all of our flower beds in the front and had some left over to put around a few of our big oaks and crape myrtle's.  I looks good! It was definitely an afternoon project, but Ezra and Emersyn helped shovel, wheel and spread the mulch the whole time. They did not complain once and got so dirty doing it! They really are such hard workers and good helpers! I am a very blessed momma.

I can't wait till all the flowers are full and in bloom. (i will try to remember to take pictures of when this happens..)

Little Man baby shower

Melanie, the Mommy of Honor!

This weekend, my sister-in law, Michelle and I hosted a Little Man baby shower for Brent's youngest sister who is having her first baby BOY! It was a fun day getting to celebrate her.
When deciding what to do for the baby shower, Michelle came up with the idea of doing a "little man" party. I wasn't quite sure about this theme at first, but when looking it up, there were so many cute ideas! Apparently it is a popular theme right now. I did not know that. There were so many blogs with different ideas. So, we went with it! It ended up being super cute and fun!
I forgot my camera amongst all that I had to bring, so I took these with my phone.

The spread! We had PLENTY of brunchy food.

The diaper cake my friend, Jennifer, and I made. It definitely takes two hands!

I made her tie onesies that turned out pretty cute!

Before you MUSTACHE, please grab a treat. Michelle made chocolate mustache pops on a stick with the bow tie cookies to take home.

Fiesta

Ezra's preschool has a Fiesta day celebration. The day starts with a shoebox float parade. The kids bring their shoebox floats that they made at home and parade them around the upper area at our church with all the parents, family and friends cheering them on. Then they head to their class where they go to different stations to make something related to Fiesta all day long. They even have a Fiesta lunch. Some of the stations included face painting, limbo and making Cascarones and Maraca's. It is such a fun day for the kids and the parents. I have been so blessed to have Ezra in OHC preschool. It's hard to think that this is his last year here and that he will "graduate" from preschool on the 18th of May. I am excited that Emersyn is going to be there next year!

My grandma even got to join in on the fun. Such a special treat

Ezra asked for his face to be painted like a King with a beard! Love him!

Fun weekends

I love this weather lately. I wish the weather would stay this way for a while, but I know it is about to get really HOT, so we are living it up outside until we no longer can.

We have been going to our neighborhood pool already!

Playing in the sprinklers outside

Catching butterfly's!

And being hosed with the water hose!
